AMC: Stream TV Shows & Movies App Reviews

AirPlay works fine for me, but the commercial volume is out of control and I find myself scrambling to find the remote and turn it down.

Finally on the Apple TV! The layout is great and it looks like the Dev Team spent a lot of thought into designing this App for On Demand Streaming. It’s really cool how they have Behind The Scenes clips that accompany the episode you want to watch. Adding bonus content onto the app is a great way to to make this app feel more full. Who buys Blu Ray TV Seasons anymore? My only gripe is the time window they put on episodes. I went on vacation and missed an episode of Better Call Saul and I had to stop watching it because I didn’t want to skip an episode and I still can’t get caught up because that episode isn’t available in the App. They only have the latest half season of Walking Dead available (for 30 days) with the rest having only the extras available. Same with Breaking Bad. The only available episode is the finale. All the rest are extras only. So as much as I like the layout and the extras added this app is still pretty useless. It should be great if you want to stay current on your show but the only show they have on atm is Fear The Walking Dead. So unless you watch that there is no reason to use this app since so can’t really watch anything else

Whenever I try to watch a show it keeps pausing and glitching. This is very annoying!!!!!PLEASE FIX THIS

Was happy to see this finally come to the Apple TV! Two gripes though: Its asking me to re-activate my device every time I open the app. Super annoying. The volume levels on the commercials are significantly louder than the shows. Please fix this!!!

I had cable, but travel a lot for work, so 90% of my tv watching was done through apps... This app is so bad, I canceled my cable service and stopped watching Walking Dead and Better Call Saul. I can wait for Netflix.

Two things, add Frontier as a service provider and make it so you can lock your screen while streaming a show. Ill give a 5 star review when these are updated.

Well they fixed the streaming problem so Im up to 3 stars! Not sure Ill ever go beyond that for an app that requires my cable service log in and then plays commercials (the same bad commercials over and over). App will not return to where you left a show when commercials come on - amazingly good commercial streaming app! After a commercial break you have to close the show re-open the episode, wait through another 30 seconds AMC commercial before advancing the slider to where you left.

Why are Dish customers not allowed to watch full episodes on the app? I pay for this channel every month and I cant watch online?

The app is ok except for two main reasons: 1. It doesnt keep you logged into cable login. So everytime you exit the app have to relogin 2. Be prepared to watch what show all the way thru - if you exit the app then you have to re-find where you left off (plus have to log back in)

UPDATE 2: Got help with support on how to use Apple Air and still be able to have my device locked. This App works perfectly!! Thanks Guys. My cable provider doesnt currently let me have access to the New AMC app for Apple TV so this is the next best thing. I love the new update. Thanks Again!! UPDATE: AirPlay improvement update works. I use my phone to AirPlay my favorite shows but it still doesnt quite work in the way other apps use the AirPlay function. If My phone screen locks, AirPlay stops working. This isnt the case for many apps that have tapped into the true potential of Apple AirPlay but it is definitely way better than before. I couldnt even see an image on my screen before. Just sound. People complaining about why they cant watch stuff for free are just wasting valuable space for proper feedback. The real problem with this app is its function with Apple AirPlay. It crashes during a commercials and exits AirPlay and just doesnt work. If the app developers dont want to waste time fixing this function then an app for Apple TV would be nice. I use AirPlay for many apps on my phone that arent available for Apple TV and they work fine. This is the worst Ive used so far.

Frontier has taken over Verizon Fios but is not listed in your app.

If I could I would give this negative stars. This app is not worth downloading. Not much on here to use. They use to let you watch episodes without using the password for the TV service provider. I wouldnt be able to watch A MC without paying. I pay for my Internet, I Pay for my T V service. Just because my TV service provider doesnt correlate with this app why can I watch things that I want to watch? Totally worthless app! What a scam!!!

This app should be shoved back into AMCs officials ()() 1) AirPlay? Works about 5% of the time. Out of those 5% though, half the times ads will destroy the stream or AirPlay. Only sound, no video; no video, only sound. Sound from tv, video on the phone. You name it - everything is possible. 2) log in? SERIOUSLY? Your shows disappear in 2-3 months, there is no back catalogue, your ads are the same crap that runs every 3 minutes of the show, and you want us to have a cable provider login on top of that? How about I never use or watch your channel just because of this crappy disrespectful way of presenting your content to a consumer?!? 3) glitches? Well, I dont know what high school student wrote your app, because it doesnt work on any iOS device I have properly, no matter if its latest a or not. Ill get lags, freezes, multitasking kills the streams and resets them, ads are blocking everything, tapping them will launch browser and than possibly reset the whole stream, kill AirPlay, log u out and make a p00py pile at your front door too. I dont know if there is any part of the app besides the menu screen thats not totally screwed up I can continue, if you ask me, but Id rather just go and watch something on Netflix, Hulu or Amazon prime, because those services actually work and make sense. And give you options to not have apps, or watch while seasons. ---- STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS And give it negative 1000 stars, just so AMC starts respecting its audience and live in the 21 century.

This app is less functional than the Comcast app, and thats saying something. Would give zero stars if possible. Videos wont play, and dont even try to stream. Have tried the app on multiple phones and multiple Apple TV. No avail. Terrible app. Should be embarrassed

Be prepared to spend 50% more time on what you want to watch for the insane commercial breaks. They dont even mix up. Same 3-4 ads every time Air play doesnt work either. Just a joke

Can you update the cable providers because I was a Verizon fios customer but it changed to frontier communications.

App constantly freezes during commercial breaks, requiring the show to be restarted and fast-forwarded to the prior point. And you get to watch extra commercials as a bonus every time that happens.

I love amc and all its original shows. I would give it a five star if there is the feature of casting to your TV. Alot of channels have that feature and id love if it is available here . Thank you AMC for keeping the good work

I have a 3d gen Apple TV and a first gen Chromecast, an iPhone 6+ running the most current iOS. and theyre "working on" AirPlay and Chromecast according to the FAQ? outdated and unacceptable. just trying to watch their shows legally... youd think itd behoove them to at least keep up.

Saw the app advertised on AMC, missed the season Finale of Better Call Saul, download the app only to find that my cable provider isnt listed, so cant watch any AMC content. To add insult, there is no customer service or email links, so the check back we are adding service providers soon is meaningless. I wish I could call Saul for this blatant case of misrepresentation.
