AMC: Stream TV Shows & Movies App Reviews

This app worked great with my Verizon Fios log in info, but when Verizon was bought out by frontier communications and I migrated my info, now there is no log in option for Frontier so I can no longer log in to watch my shows on the go. Bums me out. Will update my review once this is addressed.

I made it through an entire episode without having to kill the app after the commercials! Its about time AMC and I hope this wasnt a fluke!

The application should be chromecast compatible like its other competitors

Tried to log into Verizon fios. Tells me to go back a step and log into frontier communications. There is no listing for this provider in the app

It now is available for the New Apple TV. I updated yesterday after complaining many times that the AirPlay for Apple TV doesnt work well when it hits a commercial. It would stop playing and freeze. This new update has fixed this issue as it now plays flawlessly through the commercials. I love the interface for the Apple TV app but you need to make more full episodes available, most have only clips available and the current, playing now seasons, only have 4-8 episodes available. You also need to make this a monthly pay app so I can truly cut the cord. A couple of dollars a month would be great. With many great shows like, TWD, FTWD, better call Sal, turn, hell on wheels and many more, you would get a lot of subscribers and make a decent chunk of change to boot!

Repetitive ads that play even when they shouldnt and break Apple TV AirPlay. So bad

I got this app to catch up with the walking dead. Watched first episode of season 6 great! Then app updates and now I can only watch episode 8 of said season. Unreal. Thanks AMC

This actually a decent app for me. It works pretty well with AirPlay and I dont mind the user interface. However, please add Frontier Communications as a service provider! Two of the biggest states in the country (California and Texas) have just transferred from Verizon FiOs to Frontier and you dont have them as an option?? I cant sign in/log in now to watch my shows because of this.

I can no longer use Verizon fios since it got bought out by Frontier Comm. Frontier is not on the list. Can you please update the cable providers list.

Since the update it works great when I AirPlay from my iPhone 6s to my Apple TV. Thanks so much, you have made my life so much easier now

No Live TV. No Comcast support. This could not be further behind the times.

I can see not having some of the niche market cable providers, but how do you not have one of the biggest?

UPDATE: AirPlay improvement update works. I use my phone to AirPlay my favorite shows but it still doesnt quite work in the way other apps use the AirPlay function. If My phone screen locks, AirPlay stops working. This isnt the case for many apps that have tapped into the true potential of Apple AirPlay but it is definitely way better than before. I couldnt even see an image on my screen before. Just sound. People complaining about why they cant watch stuff for free are just wasting valuable space for proper feedback. The real problem with this app is its function with Apple AirPlay. It crashes during a commercials and exits AirPlay and just doesnt work. If the app developers dont want to waste time fixing this function then an app for Apple TV would be nice. I use AirPlay for many apps on my phone that arent available for Apple TV and they work fine. This is the worst Ive used so far.

I was one of the many who complained about this app and working with AirPlay etc. (warranted complaints). However, I can now say this app is 10 thousand times better, it works with AirPlay flawlessly. I especially love being able to continue to use my phone while the video plays on my Apple TV. I would have given this app 5 stars because its what it deserves, however, I can only give it 4 stars because this update was long long overdue. It took months and thousands of complaints for AMC to finally update. Never during that time did the developers provide info on the update process, users were left in the dark. With that said, great great app AMC, finally!

If you have Comcast dont waste your time, they are blocking the Apple TV. So I can login on my iPhone, iPad and Mac but you let Comcast block it on the Apple TV. Good job looking out for your customers. How is that other apps can get around Comcast dictating how they operate and not you guys. Grow a pair.

Other than viewing this remotely on an iPhone/iPad, this app is practically worthless due to the cable subscription requirement. At this stage, HBO/Showtime/Starz are showing the ineptness of AMC, Disney, NBC/ABC/CBS/Fox in requiring a home cable account…what’s the point in showing it remotely or better yet on an Apple TV?!

These companies just dont get it. AMC has excellent programming. They also have a total misunderstanding of the market wants/needs or a total disregard for it. HBO, Showtime, and even CBS understand their customers needs. AMC does not.

Its been almost a year, but AirPlay finally works with this new update. The AirPlay icon could still be displayed in the main interface so thats it is obvious AirPlay is available, but thank you to the developers for finally fixing this important functionality.
